POST 5: A PHOTO AND ITS STORY

I think photography is one of my favorite disciplines since it is not only pointing a camera and taking a picture of an object, landscape, person, or animal, but in my opinion, it is capturing the essence, what it means, the story it has to tell us, as well as how the photographer sees it, by this I mean that the photographer is not a neutral entity in photography, but shows us how he sees things, he shows us his point of view, what he feels.

I could name some famous photographs that I think are amazing for their way of portraying something specific, as for example "The Afghan girl" of the photographer Steve Mcurry, but I will take a more personal example.

A photograph was taken in 2016, by me to my dog, I think is important for me, as it was one of the first pictures I took with a camera that my dad gave me, to one of my favorite beings, I like it, because despite not being properly focused and some framing failures, it represents 2 things very well, him in his natural state, since it was taken next to the window, his favorite place in the house, since he can sunbathe and watch the children play at the same time, and it also captures the way in which he portrays the affection I have for him, the way I look at him.
